How Can I Get My Pet To Paint
Your pet can be among this year’s Picasso Pets animal artists, and create one of only 10 paintings for Hand in Paw’s 13th annual Picasso Pets. If you agree to participate, you will be able to select a well-known local artist to partner with your pet in creating an “arf-work” you will cherish for years to come.
Hand in Paw will provide you with a list of available artists, along with samples of their work. Once you’ve made your selection, we’ll schedule a painting session (complete with assistants, bathers and photographers) at Hand in Paw’s office for you, your pet and your artist of choice.
After your painting is finished and framed, Hand in Paw will unveil your painting along with all the others at a special preview party in July. Following the preview, all the paintings will be prominently displayed in the community during the month preceding the auction.
Picasso Pets is a fun event that raises funds vital to Hand in Paw’s work. You will receive four VIP tickets for the August 17th 2013 event at Old Car Heaven, where your pet will take the catwalk to debut their artwork for auction. Of course, you will want to join in the bidding, and as the owner of the animal artist, you agree to begin the bidding at $2,500 for your pet’s masterpiece.
